DHA Sponsors Two students to attend YLC
The Deaf Halton Association committee was thrilled to be able to offer some support for 2 students from E. C. Drury School for the Deaf to attend the Youth Leadership Camp in at Camp Taloali in Stayton, Oregon. The students, Rochelle Carty-Bauman and Sajiran Nadarajah, both had to apply and get accepted into this camp who only selects 32 females and 32 males from the United States and Internationally. A Huge Thank you to Dale Sharp and His Team
The Deaf Halton Association would like to thank Dale Sharp who won the Home Run Derby at the DHA Co-Ed Slo-Pitch Tournament on June 1, 2013 and donated his winnings of $35 to the Deaf Halton Association. His team won 2nd place overall and also donated their winnings of $150. The Deaf Halton Association Committee would like to thank the following players; Mark Couture, Will Hughes, Mike Kean, Greg Kuntz, John Nobile, Sonia Pedulla, Julie Ripley-Kelly, Candace Sharp, Deejay Sharp, Dale Sharp Jr., Dale Sharp Sr., Vito Tulipano, and Lisa Varga. DHA / Silent Voice Basketball Event a huge success!
We had 63 players in the tournament, about 40 fans cheering them on, and approximately 20 women and children participating in a lunch-hour basketball clinic.
The standing was:

5th Place – DHA
6th Place – 90’s
7th Place – Durant
8th Place- Individuals

The 'V-Team' - Dean Rousseau, Justin Dressler, Joey Bell and Michael Zagozdzon beat the 'Black Cats Are Seen' team - Bonnie Russell, Connie Russell, Jennifer Reda, and Nancy Blanchard by TWO points!

Guatemalan Deaf Youth Receive a Small Gift
Julio Luna bought 30 keychains from the Deaf Halton Association and gave them to the deaf youth of Guatemala. Here he is posing with them showing their keychains. Way to go, Julio!
